This weekend was the parade for the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and once again we volunteered to help marshall the event. There is no busier time for a gay man living in Sydney than the weekend of the parade. Everyone who considers themself someone is in Sydney for the event and the party. In their spare time, as much socialising as possible is done.
This morning I caught up with a good friend of mine from Brisbane who I'd dearly love to spend more time with, late lunch with a couple of friends, and now a couple of hours before it's time for afternoon tea with another friend.
Makes me glad I'm not working - I'll have some chance to rest over the week.
